Dana Lajeunesse

Dana Lajeunesse was elected MLA for Juan de Fuca-Malahat in 2024.  

Dana is the Parliamentary Secretary for Accessibility. 

Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly, Dana was a dedicated District of Sooke Councillor for five years. During his time in local government, Dana served on the CRD Water Commission, the Vancouver Island Regional Library Board, the CRD Arts Commission, the South Island Prosperity Partnership, the Sooke Region Historical Society, the Sooke and Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission, and the Community Economic Development Committee. 

Dana grew up in Jordan River and is a third-generation resident of the South Island. He worked in the forest industry for eight years before a life-altering accident at 26. After this, he worked to reskill in mechanical engineering technology, working and teaching in this field for 24 years. 

Dana currently lives in Sooke with his wife Kim and dog Lando.
