Ward Stamer
Ward Stamer is the MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson and the Official Opposition Critic for Forests. He was first elected in 2024.
After a long career in the forest industry, Ward became Chairman to the Barriere Improvement District, overseeing essential services such as solid waste management, streetlights, water, and fire services. He was then elected to Barriere's first Council upon incorporation, eventually serving as Mayor in 2018 and was subsequently re-elected in 2022.
Ward is a devoted husband to his beloved wife Carleen and a proud father of two adult children and grandfather to three grandchildren.
